Women Milking Sheep in Odzun, 1935

The photograph was taken by Ghevond Ghukasyan in 1935 in the village of Odzun, in the Armenian SSR. It captures the moment of milking sheep in the mountains.

In the foreground, women in headscarves sit milking the sheep, while a boy in a fur hat holds one of the animals. Behind them stand men and children in tall fur hats, watching the work. Hills are visible in the distance.
