Fragment of an Urartian bronze belt with a cat relief

The photograph shows a fragment of an archaeological bronze belt from Urartu with a relief in the form of a cat. The rectangular plate is bordered with rows of raised dots, and in the centre an animal with a large head and a long body is shown in relief, surrounded by other small figures and spiral ornaments. The right edge of the plate is broken, and metal parts of a fastening are visible on the left.

The fragment comes from the private collection of M. Reniger, Chicago, Illinois.
