Kara-Murza's four-part choir, Alexandropol, 1893
Kara-Murza's Armenian four-part choir in Alexandropol (Gyumri), 1893.
The choir was photographed on the steps of a stone building. In front sit women in traditional headdresses and white veils; behind them stand men, many in chokhas (long Caucasian coats). On the left a bearded man sits at the piano. The lower right corner of the photograph is damaged.
