The photograph was taken in a studio in front of a painted backdrop. The woman wears a tall headdress with coins and pendants, and the lower part of her face is covered with a white cloth. Her flower-patterned upper garment is fastened with a wide metal belt. The child stands on a carved pedestal, with beads around the neck and a belt decorated with coins.
