Armenians of Karin in traditional dress
The photograph shows Armenians from the city of Karin in traditional dress. For centuries Karin was one of the important centres of Western Armenia, where education, crafts and community life developed.
About 13 people are in the picture, mostly women, girls and small children, as well as 2 men in caps. They stand and sit on stone steps by a stone wall. On the left is a plastered wall, and a house can be seen on the hill.
