Alain Prost and Charles Aznavour
The photograph shows four-time Formula 1 champion Alain Prost and the legendary singer Charles Aznavour.
Prost has spoken about his Armenian roots: “My mother is Armenian; we spent our whole childhood with our grandfather, who told us all kinds of stories about Armenia. When you are only 10, they are just stories; you understand their real meaning a little later. These stories are an inseparable part of my life today. I do not speak Armenian, but I am Armenian, and that is what matters most.” In March 2007 Prost received the “Armenian César”, considered the highest award of the Armenian community of France. Today he is one of the most prominent and active representatives of the Armenian diaspora and remains “the fastest Armenian in the world”.
Both are sitting at a café table. Prost wears a blue shirt, and Aznavour an orange cardigan and a white shirt.
