Wooden door of the Church of the Holy Apostles, 1486

Door of the Church of the Holy Apostles (Surb Arakelots). Woodcarver: Abraham Sevantsi, 1486.

The upper part of the door is carved in relief with human figures: at the top, six haloed figures are seated on each side, and in the centre, under arches, stands a crowned figure, with standing and kneeling figures beside it. Below is a large round interlaced ornament. The door is framed with interlace patterns and Armenian inscriptions.
