Inside Dadivank Monastery
The picture shows the interior of the Armenian monastery of Dadivank. The monastery is under Azerbaijani occupation.
Dadivank is one of the largest monastic complexes of medieval Armenia, built in the 12th–13th centuries. It is considered one of the most important examples of Armenian architecture and is a place of pilgrimage.
Arches, columns and a dome on a many-sided drum can be seen, with light entering through the opening at the top. A green landscape is visible through the doorway. At the bottom is the photographer’s name, Suren Manvelyan.
