The Church of Surb Sargis in Feodosia

Surb Sargis is a medieval Armenian church in the city of Feodosia in Crimea. It was built in 1330, belongs to the Armenian Apostolic Church and is traditionally considered the oldest Armenian church in the city. Hovhannes Aivazovsky is buried in the churchyard.

The photograph shows the stone church with a gabled roof, barred windows and a dark door. Carved stones are set into the walls. On the left is an adjoining building with an arched entrance, and in front are a tree and a paved courtyard.
